Most Frequently Asked Questions

1. How shall I prepare for the operation?
You should be in perfect health condition, have negative lab tests and not do any physical activity for 1-2 or up to 6 weeks after the surgery. This should be a time for healing and resting.

2. What do local and general anesthesia mean?
Most operations are carried out during general anesthesia. Patients go to the operation room all checked up. with proper lab tests, on empty stomach. After previous assurance of the vein – provision of the infusion – intubation is next which allows free breathing, immission of narcotic gases and prevents the contents of the stomach getting into the aspiratory system in case of vomiting. We provide medications into the vein which ensures sound sleep, thorough painlessness, relaxed muscles. If necessary, the effect of these medications are cased at the end of the surgery, the patient is waken in the operation room and taken to their room afterwards.

3. How much time after the surgery does it take to take up sports, sex life etc. again?
In 3-4 weeks after the operation you can start sports, only if it feels good. If there is any pain, the activity has to be stopped immediately. You can have sex after the surgery, eliminating any physical burden on the operated area, of course.

4. How much time after the surgery does it take to get back to work?
It depends on your job and the operation carried out. Normally it takes 2-3 days to recreate and then go back to work if it is not physical. If your job is physically hard, you should consult a sick- leave with your general practitioner. There are exceptions, of course, ask any questions you are interested in on the consultation and you will get your individual answers.

5. Is it possible to have a baby, to breastfeed after the operation?
Certainly. We do not carry out any aesthetic surgeries on pregnant women because the fetus should not be unnecessarily affected by drugs and other unpleasant effects. Having a baby, breastfeeding, gaining that may cause problems with the breastfeeding later because the glandular part of the breast is reduced during this operation.
